Southwest Vacation Feb23 - Longstreet Inn & Casino

I originally wanted to stay three nights in Death Valley NP.  But there aren't a lot of lodging places and even though I made reservations a couple of months in advance, I couldn't get all three nights in Death Valley.  I could get Sunday and Monday, but not Saturday.  So I looked outisde of the park on the east side.  I found this place Longstreet Inn and Casino and was able to book Saturday night.  But I wasn't really sure what to expect.

Longstreet Inn turned out to be a GREAT choice.  The place was relatively new.  The room was fine.  There was a nice little restaurant in the main lobby area.  The casino was basically just a bunch of slots, also in the main lobby area.  And the rate was half what we would pay in Las Vegas, Death Valley and Joshua Tree.  So it worked out great for us.

We had dinner in the Inn restaurant and the next morning we had breakfast.
   
The next morning we checked out the interesting garden out back.

We checked out this big musk ox in the petting zoo.
   
And a couple of desert burros.
   
I was attacked by a swarm of ducks in the parking lot.  Fortunately I had food to give them so they let me go.
   
Longstreet Inn also has an RV/trailor park out back.
